How to Customize Power Saving Mode on Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Power Saving mode is the exclusive function in Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. Many of smartphone users complaint about the battery drain issue especially for those heavy users in game or movie. Even if you are not addicted to gaming or movie, I bet your phone battery can last more than 24 hours with 3G/4G LTE connection turned on.

If you face the same problem as mine, try to dig around our earlier post on Top 10 Battery Saver Apps For Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to learn how to save battery life using 3rd party application. Or else, flashing custom rom with highly-customized kernel is an alternative method to have long-lasting battery life. The latter method is not recommended as if you totally know nothing related to root, unlock bootloader or custom rom. It is always the risk of bricking your phone if mistake occurs.

As you hardly make the decision, Android developers would have to choose for you as they already included Power Saving Feature in Android 4.1 Jelly Bean devices including Galaxy Note 2. This power saving mode helps in saving battery in such a way that to limit the maximum CPU performance, reduces the screen frame rate and lower the brightness.

How to Customize Power Saving Feature On Samsung Galaxy Note 2

1. Go to Settings. Slide to activate Power Saving Mode.

2. Under Power Saving Mode, there are four options including CPU power saving, Screen power saving, Background colour and Turn off haptic feedback. You can choose to activate all of them or else choose the most battery-drain feature.

3. If you do not understand the exact function of each option, press on Learn about Power saving mode. A brief explanation on how this feature save the battery life will be provided.
