5.5 inch Phone Comparison – LG Optimus G Pro Vs Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Ever since the Samsung Galaxy Note Series was launched, its large screen design become the favorite of many consumers. Other manufacturers have also follow the trend by releasing their own large-screen products, such as South Korea’s Pantech, LG, China’s Oppo, Lenovo, etc. Now why foreign technology website brings video of LG Optimus G PRO and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 comparison.

Display

LG Optimus G PRO using the 5.5-inch screen with resolution of 1920 × 1080 Full HD IPS, pixel density over 400ppi, which has reached the limit of the human eye to identify. The overall performance of G Pro is improved, the picture is clearer and more accurate.

In the other hand, Samsung Galaxy note 2 also has a 5.5-inch screen, but only has a resolution of 1280 × 720, the pixel density is only 267ppi. The device used Samsung’s own Super AMOLED screen, which means Pentile defects does not exist. Black performance more natural, more vivid colors, but as compared to the LG Optimus G PRO the screen material is brittle.

Hardware

In view of Samsung Galaxy note 2 and the LG Optimus G PRO, release date gap between both devices is around 6 month, it is clear that LG has dominant hardware configuration.

LG Optimus G PRO is equipped with quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, which is recently launched in CES 2013 and reached an benchmark of 10,009 score. However, never mess up with Samsung Galaxy Note 2, equipped with Samsung Exynos 4412 processor which performance is also very prominent.

The basic configuration of these two devices in other aspects of the same, such as memory, network, sensor. LG Optimus G PRO has a 3140 mA battery while Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is 3100 mA, the gap is not large.

System

LG Optimus G PRO running Android 4.1.2 operating system. According to earlier leaked information, Samsung ready to release update for Galaxy Note 2 right after the official launch of Galaxy S4.

In the other respects, Samsung has some special features, such as multi-window applications, with the S pen exclusive applications. LG Optimus G PRO also began to follow the other competitors, such as multi-window task.

Advantages or disadvantages

LG Optimus G PRO Advantages:

  • Better display
  • Faster processors
  • Support wireless charging
  • The border more narrow, lighter weight

LG Optimus G PRO Disadvantage

  • No S Pen Features

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Advantages:

  • Samsung exclusive applications and the S pen
  • More color choices

Samsung Galaxy note 2 Disadvantage:

  • Low screen resolution
  • Slightly larger, slightly heavier
  • Processor performance Gap

LG Optimus G PRO and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 in many ways strikingly similar, from the design to the configuration. LG Optimus G PRO is a wise choice to own because of the better performance, but it does not have a S pen. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has better software applications, and advantage over the price as compared to LG Optimus G Pro.

    LG Pro G win in this challenge against sg note 2 but after we’ve seen the sgs4 the next note (might be note 2 i dont know ) will be very powerful and everybody gonna change his mind :b
