Although Google Nexus 7 tablet is popular, the lack of 3G capabilities, however, discourage people of purchasing it. However, such a situation will be changed soon. Past rumors of 3G version of Nexus 7 was finally appeared, and it has been confirmed in the NCC certification site as model ME370TG.
The Google Nexus 7 model for now is ME370T with only Wifi supports and offers two capacity options-8GB and 16GB, while in the recent leaked information 32GB version is captured. As for the appearance of ME370TG, the Taiwan certification bodies NCC has certified the device as Asus Pad. Not only with the additional “G” in the model, it will also support a variety of wireless GSM/DCS/WCDMA/WLAN/Bluetooth/NFC connectivity, and therefore can be determined as the 3G version of Google Nexus 7.
However, in term of storage capacity, 3G version only provide 32GB capacity. This may mean that the price will not be “user-friendly”. Besides, although the 3G version have been certified by NCC, but actual date of release is still unknown. The worse case is to reveal the pricing after the release of Apple iPad Mini.
It is worth to mention that the technology blog, BGR disclosure of news that Google will choose to replace the 16GB version with the 32GB version, but the price will remained unchanged -$249. This approach is undoubtedly means for the upcoming iPad Mini, so as to enhance their competitiveness.
