Samsung Testing 3GB RAM Smartphone Prototype?

Samsung Mobile released a leaked picture recently to show a Samsung smartphone prototype. From the picture above, we can see a Samsung’s prototype model with a 3GB RAM sticker attached on it. According to report, Samsung will change the design with the cancellation of home button on new smartphone model. It’s also shown in the same picture where no home button is seen.

Besides of the information above, we have yet to receive additional information from this prototype. Report revealed that these prototypes are currently being tested and to be prepared for official release in 2013. But, we are not sure that these devices are Samsung Galaxy S4 or Galaxy Nexus device.

Is it necessary to have 3GB RAM on the new Samsung smartphone? It is a question for smartphone manufacture since 1GB memory is enough for current Android usage. In the meanwhile, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Nexus 2 will only have 2GB RAM.
