iPhone 5 is officially selling in Singapore starting by 21 September but as for its neighbour, Malaysia still do not have confirmed official release date of iPhone 5. If you plan to purchase the iPhone from Singapore, you may also need to wait for the availability of Nano SIM since iPhone 5 does not support micro-SIM.
Good news for all Malaysian as Maxis has announced to introduce the nano SIM most probably by 24 September. According to Maxis, the nano-SIM can be obtained for the price of RM25 at the Maxis centers below:
Klang Valley:
KLCC
Taman Tun Dr Ismail
Sunway Pyramid
The Gardens
Penang:
Queensbay Mall
Johor Bahru:
Danga Bay
If you cannot wait for Maxis to release nano-SIM, you can always try out the micro-SIM-to-nano-SIM DIY method as we shared before.
