I am wondering if consumer would eventually change their interest from the conventional desktop (monitor + CPU) to the AIO PC (All-in-one). Apple is the successor in this field since their iMac product was well-known as the prefect machine that bring awesome user-experience as well as space-saving design. In the past, several PC manufacturer tried to product the similar product even with the enhanced touchscreen features, but frankly speaking, it;s just attract consumer’s attention as iMac does.
But the story does not end here as HP has introduced the AIO concept PC recently with high level of similarity with iMac. This new AIO from HP is called the HP Spectre One. From the first impression, you will definitely have the Apple’s feel on this machine but with slimmer body (11.5mm). Unlike iMac, HP Spectre One has the 23.6” display and different location of USB port at the back of the monitor.
The Spectre One will be powered by the Intel Ivy Bridge CPUs and together with 1GB Nvidia graphics card to make it a prefect machine. Nevertheless, HP Spectre One also come with two USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, HDMI-in jack, Gigabit Ethernet port on the stand of the machine.
All of this great features embedded in HP Spectre One for the price of $1299, much cheaper than iMac. It could be the strategy of HP company to introduce their latest AIO product before Apple announce the launch of iMac refresh in the near future. Let’s see if HP can fight with those giant with HP Spectre One.
