Samsung Galaxy S3 bear the name of “designed for human” which actually slot in many user-friendly features within the phone, Motion features ,one of the selling points of Galaxy S3, helps to perform particular task such as taking screenshot, zoom in/out etc by only utilize the motion of your hand. You may not use all these motion features everyday but one or two surely will helps in facilitating the execution of task. If you do not have a S3 or you just not really know the existence of motion features in your Galaxy S3, then it’s time for you to explore why S3 is so-called designed for human by Samsung.   

 

Instruction to activate Motion Features in Galaxy S3:

1. Go to Settings.

2. Under Settings, Go to Motion.

3. Check the box beside Motion Activation.

4. You can choose to turn on all the motion features by swipe the button right.

Motion 1: Direct Call

When you receive text message from friends, you can simply bring your S3 near the face, the call to that person will be automatically conducted. 

 

Motion 2: Smart Alert

Simply pick up the phone to be alerted with missed calls and messages notification.

 

Motion 3: Tilt to Zoom

This feature will be useful when you can browsing picture in Facebook or gallery. Follow the instruction to zoom in or out.

 

Motion 4: Pan to move icon

You no longer need to wait while moving icon from one page to another with this feature. Simply hold the icon you want to move then move device left or right to reposition it.

 

Motion 5: Pan to browse images

When your picture have been zoomed in, you can simply hold the picture then move up, down, left and right to “move” the picture. (I would consider to turn off this feature since I can still move the picture by swiping it)

 

Motion 6: Shake to update

As you want to share file with your friends, you can always choose to use Bluetooth (S Beam is the hottest choice of sharing file between S3 devices). With this feature activated, simply shake your device to scan for Bluetooth and refreshing the scan.

 

Motion 7: Turn Over to mute/pause

I am not sure whether you have such an experience that your phone ring during meeting with bosses. You must be so panic that pick up your phone and switch it to silence quickly. With this feature, you can simply turn the device over to mute incoming calls, message alerts, and alarms.

    The “Turn Over to Mute/Pause Media and Music” only works with the built in media players. It should definitely be able to disable sounds from any app…weak sauce, I say!
