[Android] Google Offline Maps is now available

I am pretty sure than almost everyone own a smartphone no matter from which manufacturer. But, not everyone afford to subscribe data package plan for mobile online purposes especially in Malaysia which normally cost RM70-80 per month. For those who like to travel within country, Google maps is always your best choice (besides of GPS device like Garmin) to search for the direction to your destination. Few days back, Google Maps is now available in online-mode where internet access is needed to utilize it. A good news for Android users, Google has released an update to its Map application that enable to save maps for offline use.   

 

 

Method To Save Offline Maps:

1. Search your destination using Google Maps in your Android phone

2. Select “Make available offline: option from the menu (right hand corner)

3. Turn off your WiFi

4. Browse the saved region from “My Places”
